No one is “celebrating” political violence.
On a July 2023 episode of his podcast, Charlie Kirk said this: “Joe Biden is a bumbling, dementia-filled Alzheimer’s, corrupt, tyrant who should honestly be put in prison and/or given the death penalty for his crimes against America.”
Free speech? Hate speech? What would YOU call it?
In defending the 2nd Amendment, Charlie Kirk said, “I think it’s worth it. I think it’s worth to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the Second Amendment to protect our other God-given rights.”
And people are now being fired from their jobs simply for quoting Charlie Kirk.
Jimmy Kimmel said, “many in MAGA land are working very hard to capitalize on the murder of Charlie Kirk.” And this is absolutely TRUE. The MAGA people are milking Charlie’s death for all it’s worth. They’re using it to demonize ALL Democrats. And now Jimmy Kimmel has been suspended for saying this.
Apparently free speech now applies only to MAGA World. But for what it’s worth, let me conclude with something that Charlie Kirk himself posted to social media:
“Hate speech does not exist legally in America. There’s ugly speech. There’s gross speech. There’s evil speech. And ALL of it is protected by the First Amendment. Keep America free.”
