The Tennessee Conservative [By Olivia Lupia] –
Conservative reporter Cam Higby, who has worked with Turning Point USA’s Frontlines, took his Charlie Kirk-inspired “Fearless Debates” tour to Tennessee State University (TSU), a Historically Black College and University (HBCU), but was forced to leave campus after a riot erupted roughly 10 minutes later over the topic of the day, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
Higby and political commentator David Khait launched their “Fearless” grassroots campus tour as an effort to continue the work and legacy of Charlie Kirk. They aim “to show people that conservatives, and people in general, aren’t afraid to go out and talk about their beliefs in the public square… Even though Charlie sat behind a table just like ours and was shot and killed. We want to show that we’re not scared,” said Higby of the tour launch.
But their welcome at TSU was anything but warm. Footage and photos from the event show that the conversation quickly devolved into a screaming mob brandishing screwdrivers as weapons and tearing down the signs in front of the table.
Here are @TSUedu students repeatedly stealing and destroying our signs yesterday. You see them bring screwdrivers as weapons, and then block us into the campus when we tried to leave. pic.twitter.com/CLXUFS0ghZ

“They stole our stuff, followed us to our car, attacked the car, shouted ‘BLACK POWER’ and blocked our exit off the campus,” posted Higby. Another video shows the student mob following and harassing their security guard after the duo left the university.
After leaving Tennessee State’s HBCU, the student race riot mob decided to follow, harass, corner and touch our security guard.

We asked him if he’d like to ride with us, but this badass said he could handle it. Major shoutout to All Spec Security for protecting us today. pic.twitter.com/fIUOCVNTnM
He further relayed they were escorted off campus by police for their safety and protection, not due to unauthorized presence like some media outlets are claiming, and that no arrests have been made since the incident.
“Not a single arrest today after the race riot that erupted against us at TSU during our Fearless Debates tour. Police were extremely outnumbered- thanks for keeping us safe boys, that was their focus. Also major thanks to All Spec Security for protecting us,” they clarified.
The lack of accountability is likely driven by factors like media spin painting the pair as “MAGA intruders” , support for the students from the Nashville NAACP, and a seeming endorsement by TSU of their students’ behavior.
A TSU official statement claims the pair was not authorized to be on campus as any “demonstration or protest activity” requires prior notice and permitting, despite the event clearly being a civil debate. “At all times, TSU students conducted themselves in a professional and respectful manner,” it further reads.
The university then doubled down on their stance in a follow-up statement to the entire alumni email list, calling the “Fearless Debates” a “hostile group”.
“While we recognize and uphold the right to free speech, we also understand there is a difference between exercising this right and engaging in actions that seek to disrupt, demean, and incite fear within our community…We stand in solidarity with our students and staff,” TSU administrators wrote.
The statement concludes with a commitment to ensuring the campus is “a sanctuary for dialogue and education” and the promise of further investigation to determine how the duo was able to come onto campus.
Higby states the violence they encountered is the first of its kind on his campus tour and that no other university’s students have run the group off and harassed them to this extent. He, Khait, and The Fearless Tour are now calling on President Trump and Governor Lee to defund “this God forsaken ‘University’”.
The sentiment is apparently shared by Tennessee Congressman Andy Ogles, who reposted some of the footage and wrote, “Why is TSU not condemning this attack against Cam Higby? If rigorous debate can’t happen on college campuses, why are we funding them?”
Despite the chaos of TSU, it appears The Fearless Tour will continue as planned as Higby and Khait continue their quest to restore free speech and civil discourse to college campuses nationwide.

I’m sure Gov Lee will get right on this issue at TSU. Like when hell freezes over. It’s okay to attack people without fear of arrest as long as you’re a part of the right demographic.
Imagine if this would have happened at Belmont Univ and it was black activists trying to debate on campus and white students attacked the black activists – think they wouldn’t be arrested?
Where are the State Police?
If TSU Admin calls what its students did professional and respectful, the admin needs to be fired for lying to the tax paying citizens of Tennessee.
I definitely don’t want my tax dollars going to pay any of the admin, staff or students.
GO GET THEM ANDY! TAKE THERE FUNDING!
I think this would be a wonderful opportunity to pause for a moment and give thanks for the great contributions of the black community to our society. Their peaceful and generous nature makes them ideal neighbors, lending testimony to their exceptional family values and parenting skills unrivaled by any other culture. Their child-rearing practices and skills mixed with their unparalleled work ethic are second to none. Their rational and logical thought toward circumstances coupled with their innate capability to de-escalate situations are to be envied and coveted. Their commitment to academic excellence enriches our schools and serves as an example to all who hope to achieve prominence as a people. Real estate values are fueled by the mix of the black communities in an area due to the caring and respectful nature of these communities, which are an example of all they have achieved through their enthusiasm for self-improvement, hard work, and self-reliance nature. Without their industrious and creative drive, we would be poorer as a nation! Some have accomplished great success in the field of retail liquidation, and also in the field of non-prescription pharmaceutical salesmanship. When visiting large cities, it’s amazing how much safer I feel by tagging along with a large group of them while reciting my favorite rap lyrics, including the”enn” word….

GOLD!!
The products of lucifer’s accursed, vile, violent, dimmercrap “educators”.
We can only imagine what these “students” are learning at this so-called University. Although, I don’t think wearing MAGA hats, Deport Illegals signs, and especially DEI signs were going to help the situation. Obviously, these guys didn’t have a clue what they were getting into at an Historically Black College and University. There may be some MAGA students there but, probably very few. You just don’t go into that environment and not be “scared” Mr. Higby. Welcome to Tennessee. BTW, have you been to Memphis yet?
