Moral Madness (Op-Ed)

Submitted by Paul Wessel (Williamson County, TN) –

I’m a retired police officer who’s very concerned about the direction our country is going right now.

We have descended into moral madness, a complete detachment from reality. There’s no other way to describe the inversion of values that has taken place in our country. Behaviors that until recently were considered shameful, deviant and sinful are now being promoted as normal and even healthy.

Our president hosting a one-on-one meeting with a young man dressed as a woman and affirming that behavior? Moral madness. A drag queen performing at a bill signing ceremony celebrating the Dis-respect for Marriage Act? Moral madness. Family-friendly drag queen shows with men dressed as women performing provocatively in front of children in order to normalize that behavior in their young minds? Moral madness. Biological males competing against women in sporting events and being given access to women’s restrooms and locker rooms to violate the privacy and the security of our mothers, wives, daughters and sisters with the exposure of their male anatomy? Moral madness.

63 million children with their own DNA and a beating heart, unable to ever take their first breath, in the name of reproductive rights and choice? That’s beyond moral madness. It’s an abomination.

I understand that to speak against these behaviors and say ‘the emperor has no clothes’ is to be labeled as intolerant and a hater. There’s no hate here. Only love and a concern for the future of our country.

Full disclosure:  I’m a Christian redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ.  I’ve tasted sin and its aftertaste is always bitter. There’s nothing sweeter than the presence of Jesus, His love, grace and righteousness in our lives.

To continue our current path is unthinkable. What we are doing now is a distortion of God’s original creation. When we attempt to define our own truth, it always leads to destruction.

Jesus tells us in John 14:6, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No man comes to the Father, but by me.” God tells us in Proverbs 14:34, “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.” My prayer is that we will turn to Him and live.

Absolutely correct! I am astonished at the lack of parental outrage across our country in light of these atrocities being brazenly and unapologetically shoved down our throats. Is it that parents aren’t paying attention or are they really apathetic to their children being destroyed for life? Who cares what names they call you? Remember “sticks and stones”………….why is everyone so afraid of being called a hater or ( fill in the blank ______ aphobe ) that they are willing to let innocent kids be brainwashed, YES BRAINWASHED into this sick mindset that they can be whatever they FEEL like being in the adolescent fantasy land the left is hell bent on pushing. My God, these kids can’t legally buy a beer or buy cigarettes but it’s fine if they want to cut off their genitalia? How in God’s name does this make any sense? We have to stand up and say NO MORE to this absolute madness!

This editorial is spot-on; our culture is being corrupted by our own governments, Federal, state, and local. How did we let these people get elected? Our elected representatives must do what is needed to clean out the departments and agencies which are promulgating these policies. At the citizen level, we must resist in every way these collectivist zealots at all levels of government.

As a child, my father repeatedly said we were living in the End Times. I have come to believe that he is right. The signs spoken of in Revelations are more evident now than ever. And they are coming faster and more frequently. The Bible speaks of such trials and tribulations. When good is called evil, and evil is exalted. Woe be to the masses of those who follow these luciferian ideas. Sin knows no bounds, it crosses all socioeconomic classes. It takes many forms, and satan has many snares. There will be many that refuse to see, let alone, repent of their sins. They will remain steadfastly resolute in these amoral acts. But I also know that God knows all this, and will send Jesus back to us when the time is right. Until then, prepare your war room, pray without ceasing. Speak words of truth and blessings over your family and friends. And those you meet, about your day. Share the GOOD NEWS! You don’t always know if you are planting the seed, or watering it.
Just as the servants wait at the gate to welcome the master home, we too should be prepared for our Lord, Jesus’ return. We will not know the hour or the day, but need to be ready. Waiting at the gate, with lamps held high and shining brightly.

As for the other media outlet’s response: now, we know where they stand. Apparently it is not with the majority of us, nor with God. They will answer for their behavior.

But I am sure about this: God wins.

Mr. Paul Wessel, you have spoken words of truth. It is about moral and immoral behavior and good vs evil. We are in the battle of our families lives. Everything that God loves satan hates and it is reflected in our society today. Just look at the statement of the Tennessean “This op-ed was rejected by The Tennessean who described it as “‘dehumanizing”. Who is it dehumanizing too? The reprobate and perverted minds of those in the article?
    Mark 10:13–16 NIV
People were bringing little children to Jesus for him to place his hands on them, but the disciples rebuked them. When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” And he took the children in his arms, placed his hands on them and blessed them.
In God we trust not government or man.
    Have a Blessed day.

I totally agree with the author and the contents of this article. Thank you for standing strong for what is right. Far too long we have been silent, but it is time that we speak truth. We need to take the right stand with the right attitude and stand strong on Gods truth. Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
