Brent Taylor is the republican nominee for the newly redistricted 9th Congressional District in West Tennessee. The keynote speaker for the event was Congressman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio, District 4) who fired up Taylor supporters as he expressed his desire to work with Taylor in congress.

Jordan is the Chair of the House Committee on the Judiciary and a member of the Committee on Oversight and Accountability. “The Committee on the Judiciary has been called the lawyer for the House of Representatives because of its jurisdiction over matters relating to the administration of justice in federal courts, administrative bodies, and law enforcement agencies. Its infrequent but important role in impeachment proceedings has also brought it much attention.” – Judiciary Committee Webpage.

Organizers of the event, Brandon Taylor, Past Party Chairman of the Lawrence County Republican Party, and Lawrence Sutton commented as follows on the event and venue.
“The event was coordinated by the Lawrence County Republican Party with a special thanks to Lawrence Sutton (Lawrence Co GOP vice chairman). Also, special recognition to Josh and Eddy Duke, the owners of the 1819 Restaurant and their staff.”

One of the underlying themes of the event was the necessity to defeat the socialist movement in the United States that wishes to destroy the fabric of our nation and to put us back on a path to traditional values based on the founding principles of God and country.
“ I’m honored to be a part of the effort to elect Brent Taylor as our congressional representative for the ninth district. It was great to see so many people in attendance that understand the importance of this election. I especially want to thank Congressman Jim Jordan for joining us and expressing his support of Brent Taylor. I am confident Brent will work to stop the Democrat Socialists and protect our constitutional liberties.” – said Brandon Taylor, Event Co-Organizer

Scott Golden, Chairman of the Tennessee Republican Party reinforced the effort to elect Taylor and praised the legislature for restructuring the 9th Congressional District. With new district lines, Golden is confident that Tennessee will have all republican representatives in its U.S. Delegation.

Senator Brent Taylor provided the Tennessee Conservative News an exclusive interview for this news report and commented as follows.
“The Get Out The Vote rally held by the Lawrence County Republican Party with Special Guest Jim Jordan was a huge success! I appreciate the Lawrence County Republican Party and Chairman Jim Jordan’s participation to make sure a competent legislator is chosen to represent Middle and West Tennessee and not an ineffective chaotic activist.
The fired-up crowd knows this election is about supporting Competence Over Chaos and Middle and West Tennesseans don’t need a radical Democratic Socialist who shuts down legislative proceedings, has to be restrained by his colleagues from attacking a colleague, and calls law enforcement “stupid mother f***ers” and “boy” representing them in Congress.
I’m determined to get prices down by slashing wasteful Washington spending, unleashing American energy, and cutting regulations on our family farms and small businesses. Democratic Socialist Justin Pearson has opposed all of these efforts in the Tennessee House.
Tennessee Niners will choose competence over chaos.” – said Senator Brent Taylor.

The “Get Out the Vote Rally” for Taylor was attended by several of his fellow Tennessee Legislators including Representatives Clay Doggett (R-Pulaski), Kip Capley (R-Summertown), Mary Littleton (R-Dickson), and Senators Page Walley (R-Bolivar) and Bill Powers (R-Clarksville).
