Tennessee Lawyer, Constitutional Expert Speaks About State Rights

I attended the meeting on October 19th in Greeneville in which Tennessee Lawyer and constitutional expert Jeff Cobble spoke at the Patriot Brigade of Tennessee monthly meeting. 

TN Citizens for State Sovereignty also introduced the audience to our group created to support state rights legislation.

The meeting lasted for 3 hours.  There was no recording.

Cobble covered all 11 pages of HB0726 (the bill number will likely change in 2024) sponsored by Rep. Bud Hulsey/Sen. Janice Bowling that would establish a legally binding process in which to invoke Nullification.

This legislation was not to make Nullification legal because Nullification is already legal but we need a process in which to invoke Nullification and that is what HB0726 does. It includes a “Purpose Statement” and a defined process.

Cobble thoroughly explained the “Purpose Statement” of the legislation which encompasses Sec. 1-Sec. 8 and provided constitutional proof to validate each section. Section 9 of the legislation explains the 5 different ways we could invoke Nullification. 

These include: Nullification by the Governor, a Judge, the Assembly, a combination of 10 cities/counties or a petition signed by 2000 registered Tennessee voters. 

Cobble’s lecture was then followed up with a Q&A. 

I can tell you that Mr. Cobble opened some eyes with his vast knowledge of the US Constitution and the Tennessee Constitution.  I have attended one of Mr. Cobble’s 5 hour presentations on the US Constitution (he also does a 5 hour course on the TN Constitution) and they are both courses that every elected official should be required to take.  Mr. Cobble also does a 13 week course and he does all of this for free. He said it was his ministry.

I talked to the group about TN Citizens for State Sovereignty (tncss.weebly.com and tncss.substack.com) and our goal to bring Tennessee citizens together to support HB0726, making gold and silver legal tender, a gold depository and any other legislation that supports protecting Tennessee state rights.  We feel that HB0726 is one of the most (if not the most) important bills for 2024. 

With the impending threats by the WHO amendments to the International Health Regulations (IHR) and the Pandemic Treaty/Accord which will be up for a vote in May 2024, ESG, CBDC etc., it is time for the people and our elected officials to step up and defend our state sovereignty. 

We need to understand the federal government (including the Supreme Court) are not the final arbiter of the Constitution.  The federal government answers to the states not the other way around. 

The federal government has just 18 enumerated powers (Art. 1 Sec. 8) and it was the intent of our founders to give the federal government very limited power. “We The People” have allowed the federal government to step way outside their authority.  It is time to change that and it is our goal for “Tennessee to put teeth in the tenth.”  TNCSS cannot do this alone.  We need Tennesseans to step up and join our group on the Substack page (tncss.substack.com). 

We are not asking for money all we are asking is for people to show our legislators that the people in Tennessee want our elected to stand up for the sovereignty of our state.  You can do this by signing up on our Substack page and visit our website (you can sign up to the Substack from the website too). 

We are hoping that Tennessee is the spark that starts a brush fire of other states to join us in a compact of states to nullify past, present and future unconstitutional EOs, laws, rules, regulations, treaties and international agreements.

Bottom line is we need people to know about this legislation and our group that will help organize and support legislation that will protect our state sovereignty.

    The lack of engagement by us the citizens have allowed the the Federal Government to run roughshod over the States. Since Abraham Lincoln we have been losing power bit by bit. Our founders intended for our States to be united in a limited way and for the States to govern themselves. Our founders were much smarter than the people running our country and States today.
