The Tennessee Conservative Staff –
Tennessee Senator Marsha Blackburn has announced that she plans to introduce new legislation that will support the new Department of Government Efficiency’s (DOGE) measure to help decrease federal costs.
The bill package, known as the DOGE Act, will “coincide with Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy’s plan to make the federal government more efficient,” according to a statement released by a Blackburn spokesperson.
President-elect Donald Trump announced last month that Musk and Ramaswamy would serve as the heads of the DOGE to find a way to “slash excess regulations, cut wasteful expenditures” and give new structure to federal agencies. They will work in conjunction with the White House Office of Management and Budget.
The statement continues to explain that the legislation “would cut discretionary spending, move federal agencies out of the swamp, freeze federal hiring and salaries for one year, begin the process of a merit-based compensation structure for federal employees, and require agencies to get employees back in the office.”
The legislation will also work to create a federal commission that will report to Congress on the possibility of relocating non-security related agencies to locations outside of the D.C. metropolitan area.
According to Blackburn, the legislation will not affect public safety, national security, or public health services. Additionally, the Acts allow Cabinet secretaries, who have been appointed by President-elect Trump, a chance to make changes to those federal agencies as they deem best.
Musk told reporters, “I think we should be spending the public’s money wisely.”
Blackburn told Newsmax that she was confident that Musk and Ramaswamy “will be successful” as they work to cut the federal budget by as much as $2 trillion.

GOOD!! Sadly, she’s in lucifer’s pharma’s service.
It reminds me of the Movie Dave… where near the end, Dave is faced with funding his program and goes through the budget and keeps pointing to where money can be saved.
It is amazing the waste in government. On all levels.
