The legislative session is about to kick off in the coldest months of the year, when most people aren’t paying attention. And that’s exactly when the worst things happen.
Here’s the truth nobody else will say:
There are almost no conservative news outlets focused on state and local government because
- people think it’s boring (even though it affects them the most), and
- conservatives don’t reliably support publications monthly.
I’ve lived that experiment for five years.
If I wanted clicks and money, I’d chase national outrage. Instead, I chose political ROI over personal ROI. I still don’t take a paycheck. I’m still six figures in the hole. And we’ve broken stories, stopped bills, exposed bad actors, and told the truth when nobody else would.
Why?

Because politicians can’t buy our coverage.
