The rally in Clarksville on Saturday, October 10 drew thousands of people from all across Tennessee, and even some from out of state, as President Trump and other political figures spoke to energize the voter base and hype-up Republican candidates.

Rain and wind didn’t deter the crowd of supporters who began lining up as early as 9:30 p.m. the night before, and people were stretched for blocks in downtown Clarksville hoping to get inside at 11 a.m. when doors opened for the event.

A small group of about 50 protesters assembled across the street from the attendees, shouting profanities and threats and waving signs with slogans like “Trump is a Rapist,” “Free Palestine”, and “POTUS is a PEDO”. A heavy police presence ensured both sides were kept an appropriate distance apart.

“I’m excited that Trump is trying to reindustrialize the United States… I pretty much support him across the board. We Tennesseans need to get out and vote and not be lethargic, like we’re in a coma, and if we don’t vote it’s going to be very bad,” said one woman waiting in line.

A man who traveled from Illinois to attend said he came, “to see Trump and support Trump, the greatest President ever, I love Trump. His policies are spot on, he loves our country, he does everything he can for our country. He’s sealed the border, the economy, everything is going great.”

Former WWE star and Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs was the first speaker of the event, welcoming President Trump to Tennessee and telling the crowd that strong Tennessee Republican leaders would “suplex socialism and chokehold communism.”

Speaker of the Tennessee House Cameron Sexton spoke about the success of the Memphis Safe Task Force thanks to Republican and President Trump’s leadership. In addition to endorsing Republican candidates “up and down the ticket,” Sexton also promoted “Yes on 1”, encouraging voters to support Amendment 1 on their ballot which will allow judges to deny bail for certain serious and violent crimes.

5th Congressional District candidate Charlie Hatcher, who defeated conservative Rep. Andy Ogles in the August primary, told the crowd, “We cannot afford voter apathy. We do not want to go back to the failed Biden Democratic policies…Tennessee needs to hold the line; we need to carry these nine congressional seats…Let’s make Tennessee red from top to bottom.”

Current state Sen. Brent Taylor took the stage next, speaking about his intent to support President Trump’s agenda should he win his election. He also emphasized the importance of flipping District 9, which was cracked by the General Assembly earlier this year, from blue to red, asking for voter support in defeating progressive radical Justin J. Pearson.

“I’m going to Congress and we’re going to give the Democrats hell!” he declared.

State Rep. Johnny Garrett, who is running for Tennessee’s 6th Congressional District, bolstered fellow Republican candidates while Tennessee Congressman Scott DesJarlais gave his seal of approval to Hatcher, Taylor, and Garrett, stating he thought they would make great additions to Congress.

And Congressman Tim Burchett reminded the crowd that “Dadgum, it’s great to be an American!” He then pointed to the importance of electing “strong conservatives” because of what Americans and Tennesseans will face should Democrats retake power.

“Folks, we’ll sacrifice a whole generation of children on the idol of wokeism,” he warned. “But you can guarantee also it’s going to be a witch hunt for our great President. The impeachments will start day one and they will go after every member of his administration, they will drag them before every committee for everything they can think of, just to start.”

Burchett also implored voters to pray for the country and seek God’s guidance in this election.

Matt Van Epps, who won a special election last year to fill the remainder of the term in District 7, was next in the lineup, speaking about how his past military experience has informed his service in Congress thus far and hyping up the crowd to hear from President Trump.

Marsha Blackburn touted her work alongside President Trump in Washington on issues like border security, deportations, the Memphis Safe Task Force, economic growth, tax cuts, and making “certain Tennessee is the very best place on the face of the earth to live, to work, to rear your family, to retire, and have great jobs for your children to come home to.”

She also promoted other policy points like Amendment 2, which would ban a statewide property tax, affordability, workforce housing, and supporting law enforcement. Blackburn finished by declaring she is the “only conservative Republican in the race”, calling both her primary Independent opponents “Democrats” and referring to Democrat nominee Jerri Green as a “radical socialist.”

The highly anticipated address from the President was introduced by musician Kid Rock who roasted the mainstream media and passionately denounced the Biden legacy, communism, socialism, and Islamic Sharia law before reminding the audience of Trump’s strength, resilience, and accomplishments in his tenure in office.

Chants of “USA” erupted in the arena as President Trump took the stage to Lee Greenwood’s “God Bless the USA”.

“Just pretend that I’m running, and get out and vote,” Trump implored voters. “The communists, socialists, Dumocrats, will cheat, they will do whatever, and we have to get out.”

His speech often drifted from the teleprompter, as Trump is inclined to do, and the President clearly enjoyed bantering and engaging with the crowd. From the economy to elections, foreign policy and events, transgenderism to illegal immigration, and entertainment to media, Trump touched on a variety of topics and the administration’s successes alongside Republican leadership.

Speaking about the Republican candidates, Trump said, “I like Tennessee… We’re gonna win Tennessee. Marsha should win big, Bill Hagerty, and all the Congressmen, they’re all going to win. So, what the hell am I doing here? Well, I don’t have to campaign here, but I said you know, it’s nice to go to a place you don’t have to be and say thank you to the people that elected you three separate times.”

He also reiterated a new promise to give “all adult citizens in the United States $5,000” if Republicans win the House and Senate. “And only Republicans can do it, Democrats can’t do it because we’re taking in massive amounts of money through tariffs…If Democrats get back in office we could end up back in a 1920’s style Depression. If the Republicans win, you will each have $5,000 in your pocket and economic success like you’ve never seen before.” Trump pledged.

“On election night, Tennessee is going to prove that America does not belong to those who hates it, Tennessee is going to show it belongs to people who love it,” he said before inviting Sen. Bill Hagerty on stage to briefly discuss his campaign against radical leftist Marquita Bradshaw.

Finally, Blackburn was brought back to the podium where she thanked the President and crowd for their support, and the Congressional candidates were also invited back on stage one last time as Trump concluded a roughly 90-minute speech.

“Ladies and gentlemen of Tennessee, the Golden Age of America us upon us, but you must get out and vote, you have to vote Republican,” he asserted.
