A Muslim family from Nashville was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly assaulting their son because he converted to Christianity.
Nick Kadum, 57, Rawaa Khawaji, 46, and John Kadum 29, were all arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, bodily injury, and domestic assault.
According to reports, the victim said that his mother, father, and brother all punched him and spat in his face while demanding that he give up Christianity and return to their Islam faith.
Police reports also state that Khawaji, the victim’s mother, scratched the back of his right hand with a knife.
Officers discovered the victim, who is a minor, when a welfare check was conducted at the home on Amber Hills Lane after the victim’s concerned employer contacted police.
Metro Nashville Police officers who responded to the call said that victim was “trembling and wide-eyed” with “disheveled hair.” They also said it appeared that the victim was “cut haphazardly” and had lumps on his face.
He was treated at a local hospital for his injuries.
According to online records, both the father and brother were released on Tuesday afternoon. The mother remains in custody on charges of domestic violence.

Muslim=TROUBLE!!
Horrendous…though they probably hate America, they at least have to abide by our laws, except immigration laws….they are prob here illegally.
The boy would be better off to deconstruct his religious beliefs and realize early on that all religions are only used to control society.
I feel sorry for this boy and his family. No one deserves to be treated like this or should treat their own blood this way.
Thoughts and prayers
Whatever their immigration status, criminal charges should be fully applied.
The First Amendment is for everyone, even minors.
