There is a FAKE CONSERVATIVE called Courtney Johnston that’s running against Congressman Andy Ogles. We are talking about Liz Cheney Mk 2 here. The unwanted sequel. That bad.
I am getting the word out to conservatives in Nashville so we can raise the alarm to Republican voters and activists in any way possible.
The final straw for me was her latest mailer with a photo of her placed next to Donald Trump. Of course, only Andy Ogles has been endorsed by President Trump.
Who am I? If we have not met, I am Bart Smith and I am a proud first generation American that immigrated here LEGALLY. This matter is personal to me because of my journey to America and working to achieve my dream of living in the best country in the world.
The bottom line is that Courtney Johnston has supported granting ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS AMNESTY with a Metro Council resolution she’s listed as a sponsor for – and then, strangely, left the room to avoid voting on it.
She even joined Democrats to say to the media that Gov. Bill Lee should hold a special session on firearms because, “It shouldn’t require more education and licensure to drive a vehicle that was designed for transportation than to get a gun that was designed for the sole purpose of killing.”
Getting to be an American Citizen in 2017 – swearing an oath to my new country under President Trump – and not Hilary – was the greatest honor of my life.
Even people in the United Kingdom have no idea of the freedoms (1st and 2nd Amendments, especially) that we enjoy in America. Because I am interested in making the country I joined even greater than I found it, I offered to help several local candidates win as conservatives for Metro Nashville Public Schools – and run their campaigns with some of my experience – as a volunteer. Andy Ogles was a huge supporter of our work – offering advice, encouragement and even his endorsement.
HERE is what remains of a copy of a Metro Council resolution she sponsored in 2019 to have the council formally write to President Trump and ask him to grant a pathway to legal citizenship for those that came here illegally.
When I politely brought this up to her on her Facebook page, she denied this and said “IDK” but that her name was printed along with every council member and that she never signed it.
However, only 13 councilmen (including her) are listed under the title “Sponsors”. Some have signed and some have not. What’s more, when it came to the vote on the resolution, Courtney left the chamber to avoid voting Yea or Nay or Abstain. See evidence HERE. Her lack of a vote shows she was embarrassed to have sponsored it and had second thoughts. We cannot afford this kind of “flip-flopping” in the U.S. Congress – or a new Liz Cheney.
When I politely asked why she left the room to avoid voting against the pro-amnesty motion, she simply BLOCKED ME from her page and deleted my questions and her replies! I was upset that she was less than transparent about her record – and then acted like a liberal by censoring any dissent. It turns out many others have been blocked by her, too.
These are not the behaviors we need coming from our elected public servants. They need to know “We the People” are their bosses!
I don’t believe giving away U.S. Citizenship away to people who jumped the line of people coming here legally is conservative or patriotic.
It takes a lot of hard work and is tough to do. Even with corporate sponsorship for my job – and coming from England – it took me seven years, at least $14,000 of legal bills, a civics test, dozens of shots, a full medical and an FBI background check in order to swear that all important oath.
I would love to see how people supporting amnesty, such as Councilman Johnston would act if someone merely jumped the line when they were buying their groceries. Most people would be furious if they’d been waiting for 5-10 minutes. Now imagine how over four million people waiting patiently for the opportunity to come legally to America feel when they have been waiting for up to fifteen or twenty years and someone illegally enters America and jumps THEIR line. There is nothing conservative, patriotic, logical – or even compassionate – about granting amnesty.
My voice may have been censored by Courtney Johnston on something I care about so passionately – but perhaps you would consider raising it respectfully on social media, share this message with your contacts or cover it on your Facebook?
She can’t block us all.
You can visit her Facebook page to respectfully ask her about this – or any number of her past actions that show she’s anything but a real conservative – (see this document I came across and is being sent about, here). “I didn’t sign it” or “IDK” just doesn’t cut it, Councilman Johnston.
Thank you for your time (if you read this far), I have said my piece, and God Bless America.
Yours sincerely,
Bart Smith
PS: Aside from voting, the number one thing you can do to make an impact is to share this story – or info from it – to your network right now!
PPS: Hi Councilman Johnston – censoring your fellow citizens is not an optimal strategy in a constitutional republic such as ours …

This article sounds true to me. I got a mailer that was intended to make people think she has been endorsed by Donald Trump. I think at best she”s a RINO and possibly a Dem-plant.
Andy Ogles has a Heritage score of 100%! If you are a conservative, that’s PERFECT so it doesn’t get any better than that. Fifth District voters VOTE OGLES.
And while you are at it, if you are in Williamson County please don’t forget to vote for your Republican candidate for school board. Conservatives did well in the county primary so we have a great slate of conservatives running as Republicans who, if elected, will move the school board dramatically to the right.
And if you’re in Tennessee House District 65 in Williamson County and consider yourself conservative, you need to vote for Michelle Foreman for that position. She IS conservative, whereby her two opponents are anything but. Michelle was a Trump elector at the RNC convention. Brian Beathard was selected by former District 65 Rep Sam Whitson to run for the position. Whitson was RINO-to-Dem-Light. Don’t believe me? Check his voting record. Beathard will vote just like Whitson. Lee Reeves is RINO as well. Check out the photo on his campaign website of he and Senator Jack Johnson who is RINO leader. They all show you who they are.
The fact that Lee Reeves is the only candidate in the District 65 Republican primary taking the traditional conservative position supporting school vouchers as a means of breaking the education monopoly of the Government School Trust establishes Lee’s conservative bona fides. And his position on this most important issue that will be facing the upcoming session of the legislature makes him the candidate conservatives in District 65 should support.
Many candidates are using the “Trump supports me” ploy to get votes. Do your research before you vote. I remember when I lived in another state, a gentleman whose daughter (a Democrat) was a judge changed her political affiliation to Republican when the state’s population was turning red. Her ideas were still Democratic but she ran as a Republican so she could be re-elected. And guess what, she did.
