Viral Video Shows Shelby County Teacher Threatening To Quit Over Conservative Pushback In Education

A Tennessee educator is vowing to leave teaching altogether after being criticized on social media for her indoctrination of liberal issues in her classroom.
The Twitter account “Libs of TikTok” reposted a social media video of a high school teacher – identified as Randi Lee Kersey – who complained that education was being “taken over” by those with conservative ideals.
In the video, Kersey references a comment made on one of her previous videos that read, “You should quit – I see the groomer flag in the background.”
“I have no idea what comment this video goes back to, but the comment like there’s a groomer flag in the background, I was able to pull a screen grab and if you see my old classroom, I have my pride flag right there,” Kersey says.
Kersey has been teaching special education for the Shelby County School System since graduating from the University of Memphis in 2017. She is currently listed as a member of the faculty at Raleigh-Egypt High School.
The video is no longer available on Kersey’s TikTok account, but in previous videos, she proudly brags that she “bucks the system on a regular basis” through her discussion of race in her math class.
“Here’s the thing: I am going to quit. I’m 100% going to quit,” Kersey continues in the rant. “And it is because, not comments like this, but it is because people like this have taken over or are starting to take over education, and education is not what it once was and it’s not worth it anymore. I support every single one of my students no matter what their views are. This, it just, get f***ed.”
Kersey later posted a follow-up video in which she said she was not planning to quit immediately because she is “trying to buy a house” and needs to keep her job.
The majority of the responses to the Libs of TikTok tweet were positive in hopes that more teachers like Kersey would leave the field before continuing to attempt to indoctrinate more students.
A recent poll by the New York Times/Sienna College found that a majority of individuals – Republican and Democrat alike – were against public school teaching being allowed to “provide classroom instruction on sexual orientation and gender identity to children in elementary school.” 70% of respondents were against the idea, with 53% of Democrats who responded voting the same way.
Good . Let her quit. California will gladly welcome her with open arms.
She shouldn’t be allowed to teach beyond the scope of her class requirements. Her personal ideas etc are hers alone not to be taught in a classroom. I do hope though that her flag isn’t the only one the classroom?

That’s the best thing she can do is to quit. That way she can’t indoctrinate those young impressionably minds with her insane ideology. It is really hard to take a person seriously when they put things through their nose like farm animals have. This is definitely hard proof that the whole education is corrupt from kindergarten through grad school. Anymore the best way to give your children a good education is to homeschool them. As far as letting her hang a queer flag in the classroom. The Superintendent should be fired. Most classrooms won’t or don’t have an American flag in them. The same with school libraries they have porn material and try to justify in the name of “dei”. No Bibles though because we can’t have people living decent and moral lifestyles. Remember the unholy one is the ruler of this world. But we know who wins in the end. God.
