Press Release –

My name is Teena Hedrick, and I’m running for the Tennessee State Senate District 12 seat. My commitment lies in protecting our constitutional freedoms. As a Christian, conservative, and constitutional Republican, I aim to represent the collective voice of “We the People” with honor and dedication.

Four years ago, our world underwent significant transformations. Our constitutional and medical rights were stripped away, censorship became rampant, and certain individuals were labeled as nonessential. Visiting loved ones in hospitals or nursing homes became impossible, and some faced the ultimatum of either taking a vaccine under emergency authorization or risking their jobs.

During this period, I reached out to Mr. Yager regarding the vaccine mandates, but he remained indecisive and failed to take action. Senator Yager opposed a crucial bill, SB1109, which aimed to ensure that employers accepting immunization requirements for employment also acknowledge religious exemptions.

Additionally, the bill sought to provide recourse for individuals injured by vaccines and impose penalties on violators. During this period, I contacted Mr. Yager regarding vaccine mandates.

Furthermore, he joined 15 other Senators in endorsing a letter urging Tennesseans to receive the Covid19 vaccine.

I’ll be straightforward with you – the idea of running for office never crossed my mind until four years ago.

Witnessing the lack of advocacy for “We the People” ignited a passion within me. After prayerful consideration, I firmly believe that this is my calling from God. I’m not a career politician; my sole intention is to serve the people of Tennessee. I pledge to stand firm and unwaveringly represent their interests without hesitation.

Pro-Life

I pledge to safeguard the sanctity of human life. Babies are not merely a cluster of cells but divine miracles, crafted in the image of God. Senator Yager opposed legislation (SB 2582) aimed at banning all abortions in Tennessee.

Education

I am committed to defending and preserving parental rights, ensuring that parents have the authority to make decisions regarding their child’s education and exposure. In 2023, Mr. Yager opposed the removal of the Gay flag from classrooms.

Second Amendment

I will stand against any infringement on our second amendment rights. Every law-abiding citizen has the fundamental right to bear arms. It’s worth noting that Mr. Yager supported the “Red Flag” bill SB1673

Healthcare

Parents should be able to decide their Children’s healthcare. Obtaining parental consent is essential for any medical procedures or vaccinations.

Illegal Immigration

I firmly believe that our tax dollars should not be funding phones, lodging, food, or healthcare for illegal immigrants.

In Tennessee, the needs of our citizens should always come first, and our state should not serve as a sanctuary for those who are in the country illegally. Our priority should be supporting our veterans. It’s disappointing to note that Mr. Yager voted in favor of granting professional licenses to illegal aliens (SB2464).

It’s time to get rid of the good ole boy network at every level. I firmly believe in implementing term limits. Mr. Yager has held the position of Senator for 16 years, running unopposed in the last two elections. According to US Term Limits, he voted in favor of term limits on Congress (HJR5).

I would consider it an honor to be the next District 12 Senator. I will always fight for you. My motivation is not driven by power or financial gain; it’s driven by a sincere dedication to “We the People”.

This year is pivotal, and I strongly believe that we cannot afford to have someone who doesn’t have our backs. A vote for me is a vote for your representation and your voice in government.
