Senator Page Walley (R-Savannah-District 26) assumed office in November of 2020 and ran uncontested in the August 1st primary election, winning 10,573 votes in his favor.

Let’s take a look at some of the highlights from Sen. Walley’s voting record over the last several years.

Back in 2021, Walley was one of sixteen GOP senators who signed Senator Ferrell Haile’s letter endorsing and pushing the “emergency use authorized” Covid-19 vaccine on Tennesseans.

In 2022, Walley supported the censorship of conservatives and the silencing of Tennessee grassroots by voting in favor of the “Incumbent Protection Bill,” a campaign finance reporting bill that increased regulatory requirements and paperwork for grassroots organizations and nonprofits trying to inform Tennesseans about lawmakers’ voting habits and behaviors.

This legislation laid the groundwork for silencing many that do not have the manpower to deal with increased red tape.

Walley also voted in favor of corporate welfare in 2022 via SB2890, which allowed the Chattanooga Lookouts, a minor league affiliate of the Chicago Reds, to move to a new stadium in the city and retain a sales tax deal to fund it, letting the team keep the first 5.5% of the state’s 7% sales tax on sales made at the stadium during events.

Additionally, Walley was one of 15 Senate Republicans who voted in favor of illegal immigration by supporting a bipartisan piece of legislation that opened the door for non-U.S. citizens to receive professional and commercial licenses in Tennessee, making the state a more attractive destination for illegal immigrants (SB2464).

In 2023, Walley voted in favor of linking the state with private interests by supporting legislation that would have given Tennessee’s Treasurer and Comptroller the power to use taxpayer dollars to purchase and own portions of banks and private companies (SJR0034).

Walley supported global currency in Tennessee by voting in favor of “The Money Transmission Modernization Act,” which redefined what state law recognizes as “money,” paving the way for foreign governmental entities to exchange a currency (i.e. CBDC) that is not currently recognized by banks owned and operated in Tennessee.

He also voted against parental rights and due process; voted to eliminate maximum class sizes in Tennessee’s public schools (SB0197); voted in favor of toll roads (SB0273); and voted in favor of allowing physicians to permit abortions for their patients.

Walley appeared in The Tennessee Conservative’s 2023 RINO Report for being one of six Republican Senators who refused to offer a second on the motion that would have allowed Senator Janice Bowling’s “Restoring State Sovereignty Through Nullification Act” to be heard in committee.

This legislation would have worked to protect Tennessee’s sovereignty by establishing an orderly process by which the General Assembly could nullify any unconstitutional federal statute, regulation, agency order or executive order.

The Freedom Index Legislative Scorecard, which scores lawmakers based on the constitutional nature and implications of their votes, gave Walley a 67% in 2023.

Walley appeared in The Tennessee Conservative’s 2024 RINO Report for being one of two Republican Senators to join Democrat lawmakers in voting against SB2763, which works to prevent red flag gun laws in Tennessee by preempting “the entire field of legislation regarding extreme risk protection orders [ERPOs] to the exclusion of all county, city, town, municipality, or metropolitan government law, ordinances, resolutions, enactments, or regulation.”

He was also one of eight Republican Senators who “took a walk to skip the vote” on SB1722 which would have banned Pride flags and other ideological or political flags from Tennessee’s public school classrooms.

In 2024, Walley voted in favor of global currency in Tennessee once again (SB2219) and cast multiple votes against government transparency.

SB2020 blocks public access to the autopsy reports of children who are victims of violent crime, as long as the child’s parent or legal guardian is not a suspect in the circumstances surrounding the minor’s death.

Walley voted in favor of this legislation in committee and on the Senate floor.

SB2093 allows Department of Tourism records involving millions in taxpayer dollars to be hidden from the public if the tourism commissioner and attorney general agree public access to the information should be blocked.

Walley voted in favor of this bill in committee and on the Senate floor.

The Tennessee Legislative Report Card gave Walley a vote score of 84 for the 2024 legislative session, a lifetime vote score of 80, and a C- leadership grade.

The report card, which can be viewed in full HERE, also analyzes information from the Tennessee Registry of Election Finance, which shows that 53.62% of Walley’s campaign contributions stem from special interests.

In the upcoming general election scheduled to take place on November 5th of this year, Walley faces no Democrat or GOP challengers. The Tennessee Conservative’s Founder, Brandon Lewis, is asking in his 2024 Tennessee Voting Guide that District 26 voters send a message of no confidence to GOP Establishment RINOs by writing in “A Real Conservative” instead of casting a vote for Page Walley.
