TN House Leadership Urges Lee To Block Health Dept From Distributing, Promoting, Recommending COVID Vaccine For Kids Under 5

On Wednesday, Speaker Cameron Sexton, Majority Leader William Lamberth and Republican Caucus Chair Jeremy Faison signed their names to a letter penned by Representative Jason Zachary (R-Knoxville-District 14) urging Governor Lee to block the Tennessee Department of Health from “distributing, promoting or recommending” the COVID-19 vaccine for children under five years of age.
The letter states “We are facing troubling directives from the federal government that require unwavering conservative leadership on behalf of our most vulnerable Tennesseans.”

On June 17th, 2022, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration granted amended “emergency” approval of the COVID-19 vaccination for children four years to 6 months old.
“This amended ‘emergency’ approval lacks transparency and has created many concerning questions,” the letter states.
• The letter lists some of the basic concerns and questions but says that many questions beyond those listed below remain unanswered.
• Why did only two-thirds of the 4,526 children recruited by the FDA not complete the trial? Was their data thrown out to fit a pre-determined conclusion?
• Why was the trial not able to show a reduction in severe illness among those vaccinated?
• The FDA’s own risk benefit assessment showed a 30% increased change of contracting COVID-19 in children vaccinated after the first dose compared to those in the placebo group. Why was this overlooked?
• Why was approval granted when the manufacturer’s own trials show zero benefit to children?
• Why was authorization granted by the FDA when there is no data related to the long-term impact of the mRNA vaccine on children who are not at risk of serious illness or death, unless they are significantly immune compromised?
Similar concerns about the usage of the COVID-19 vaccine on children have been raised by some of the nation’s leading experts including: Dr. Vinay Prasad of the University of California – San Francisco, Dr. Marty Markary of Johns Hopkins and Dr. Joseph Ladapo – Florida’s Surgeon General.
The letter states that the COVID-19 emergency in Tennessee has long since passed and that based on the FDA’s own 66-page report, there is no concrete evidence to support an amended emergency authorization to vaccinate small children.
Addressing Governor Lee, the letter urges the governor to “direct the Tennessee Department of Health to halt distribution, promotion or recommendation of COVID-19 vaccines for our youngest Tennesseans.”
The letter, signed by Faison, Lamberth, Sexton and Zachary says, “We simply cannot recommend injecting an mRNA vaccine into children who have never been at serious risk from death or hospitalization from COVID-19. We do not know the short-term and long-term impact on their development and overall health. As always, parents should seek consultation and recommendation from their family pediatrician about what is best for their child’s health.”
In a livestream on Representative Zachary’s Facebook page he said, “We’re all about listening to the experts and following the science. Some of the most prominent physicians and scientists in our country are saying ‘Hey, we need to take a step back.’… If a parent wants to make this decision, that’s their choice…we’re not saying no one can get it, we’re simply saying we as a State are not going to participate or take part because there are way too many unanswered questions.”
In a statement, Lt. Gov. Randy McNally (R-Oak Ridge-District 5) said he agrees with Zachary on the point that the Health Department should not promote the vaccine for children. However, he didn’t call on the DOE to halt the distribution of the vaccine to children.
McNally said, “If a parent and doctor agree the vaccine is an appropriate treatment, that is one thing. But our state government does not need to be promoting this vaccine now that COVID-19 has become endemic.”
Governor Lee has acknowledged that he has received the letter but has made no statement as to whether he intends to act.
The Department of Health reported on Monday that the state has pre-ordered COVID vaccines for the next available age group and expects them to be delivered to local health departments very soon.
In the same statement, Department of Health spokesperson Bill Christian reminded Tennesseans that “Anyone six months of age and older can receive a vaccine.”

The corporate greed just doesn’t stop! Why in the world would anybody in their right mind Jab a baby with an unproven vaccine. The so called vaccine for all the other age groups didn’t stop the spread nor prevented a person from getting it. This is just pure evil. But we know how this all ends. God will be victorious.

Yes it should be blocked as well as everybody else that does not want this garbage pumped into their bodies with NO Honest data to back it up that it works
Beyond the so called data, all of these vaccines are STILL EXPERIMENTAL. The corrupt FDA has decided to not even require testing for future covid related viruses.
The manufacturers are still not held liable for the repercussions of their products.
Ages 0 through 18yo should not be forced by govt to get the jab. Parents need to do their job and research non governmental studies. Especially considering the resulting health issues and sudden deaths in those younger persons that have been jabbed.
