  1. Excellent conversation.

And Steve Hickey and the new Williamson County Republican Party (WCRP) were too modest. They encountered and overcame immense fraudulent opposition that had nothing but vitriol and contempt in its holster.

The self-called Williamson County “Conservatives” lied about the Elevate 2025 slate’s supposed desire to force conventions on the county when the slate never had anything of that nature in their plank or campaign material. Then they trashed the Elevate leadership, saying they wanted to “cancel elections,” “deny the votes of the military and first responders,” “hold secret meetings and votes,” and “rig nominations like Democrats.” etc.

They held their own registration system using a QR code that implied to county Republicans that they would be registered for the convention if they used the code. Actually, it was ruse. The “conservatives” used the code to create their own mailing list (quite possibly without seeking the registrant’s permission) which they dumped on the WCRP at the very last minute. They hoped the dump would create convention problems they would later be able to point to in their complaint. Actually, the WCRP successfully handled the move with cool composure.

And knowing their 900+ name dump would force a venue change, the “conservatives” then told their followers that “changing the location [of the convention] at the last minute was done to confuse voters.” The party, they said, is trying to “suppress your vote” with this move.

They had nothing of substance to offer to voters other than fearmongering.

They also compared the slate to Stalin, a Russian leader who murdered millions of his own people. That came on the heels of comparisons with George Soros, Hillary Clinton, Barak Obama, and other prominent Democrats.
They claimed the convention blocked supposed bona fide Republicans from entering and voting, yet they didn’t present a single example of blocked voters in their complaint submitted to the TNGOP. Because accusations without proof was all they had.

As Steve Hickey said, if you’re curious about all the devious things this “conservative” group did under the leadership of Williamson County Commissioner Brian Clifford, TN Senator Jack Johnson and TN Rep. Lee Reeves, just check out their brief and other declarations here that addressed every single claim of Clifford’s group. This is why Clifford loss.

Unfortunately, the result of all of Clifford’s effort now is a deeply divided Republican Party of Williamson County. But, if anyone can put Humpty Dumpty back together it’s the eight newly elected excellent leaders of the Williamson County Republican Party.

  2. How did you find the crossover voters? I would like to do that for our county. I have the last 4 lists- but would have to track every single person…. Please advise
