We’ve Been Banned On Facebook!

By Brandon Lewis [Founder of The Tennessee Conservative] –

In the last session of the General Assembly, I supported legislation carried by Senator Bo Watson and Representative Dennis Powers that would have prohibited social media censorship of Conservatives in the Volunteer State.

Because it did not have the support of Speaker Cameron Sexton or GOP leadership in the House, it died in the budget committee. While we did not have $100K to protect free speech in Tennessee’s budget, we did have billions in corporate welfare for woke millionaires and billionaires – that you paid for.

Real “Conservative,” huh?

I’m hopeful with Sexton setting his eyes on the Governor’s mansion that he may become more Conservatively bullish in the upcoming legislative session and support laws to lead the nation on free speech.

But, I won’t hold my breath. I have little doubt the Big Tech lobbyists have already been passing out cash and visiting offices, warning about “corporate rights,” which we know so often trump Constitutional rights in Tennessee.

That said, do you know what got us banned? You’re going to love this…

I personally posted a meme that said, “I trust Kyle Rittenhouse with a gun more than I trust Alec Baldwin.”

It’s true. I do. This is a very logical statement.

One accurately used a weapon under harrowing circumstances in a clear-cut case of self-defense. This is not my opinion, but was rather adjudicated in a court of law.

Alec Baldwin accidentally killed and innocent person, likely because he did not understand basic gun safety.

This “went against community standards.” It got us banned.

Have you been banned? Fact checked? Silenced? Turned down?

Donald Trump has been banned in Tennessee – a current Republican Party presidential candidate.

All over Tennessee, conservative thought, candidates and organizations are being silenced.

Yet, the GOP leadership in our state does nothing to stop it. They seemingly embrace it.

I have not heard one single member of leadership, aside from those carrying the legislation in the last session, speak out in favor of it or get behind it with zeal. If they did, they did it in a proverbial corner.

Some Republicans even voted against it. Against it!

Amazing…

In the next session, I will once again be fighting for free speech in Tennessee. It is my sincere hope you will join me in this fight.

If you can pitch in to help, rest assured your money will go toward getting the truth out about social media censorship and its damaging affects on our state and the nation.

To my knowledge, I’m the only person in the state with a sizeable megaphone making an issue out of this.

Now, for those of you who remain…

Every week, thousands tune in to our TennCon Big 7 News Digest show, where I break down the 7 biggest stories in Tennessee state news from a Conservative perspective, via email, social media, podcasts, and video.

This week, we will not be live-streaming on Facebook. Instead, I’d like to invite you to join me on Zoom in the “Live Audience.” I’ll be taking questions at the end… LIVE!

Now, if you are interested, get there a little early. Zoom can only accommodate 100 people. First come, first served.

We will be sending out the recording after the fact, so do not despair if you can’t make it. But, for those of you who can, please do.

I’d love to see you. Let’s stick it to Facebook…

Brandon did you challenge the fb fact checkers? The meme you posted was acurate. I challenge them every chance when they ‘censor’ me. They usually crumple like a wet paper tiger, and lift the ‘ban’. The lunacy of their arguments against free speech is astounding. And often time exceedingly funny. Even when they do not see the humor in it.
