Taxpayer-Funded Lobbyists, Firearms Legislation & The Importance Of Successful Educational Outcomes In TN (Interview w/ Rep. Todd Warner)

In this interview, Representative Todd Warner (R-Chapel Hill-District 92 ) speaks candidly about his biggest disappointment with his experience in the Tennessee Legislature – the influence of taxpayer-funded lobbyists and the good legislation aimed at limiting their influence that has been killed this session.

Warner also discusses his firearms bill that would grant 18 year-olds the right to bear arms along with the importance of the state’s educational system to produce literate individuals, if for no other reason than to lower the chances of them turning to crime.

All this and more in an interview that you do not want to miss!

Yours in Freedom,

Brandon Lewis, Founder of The Tennessee Conservative

Not everyone has been exposed to gun training. After a person has been drafted, they are given extensive weapons training. I tend to agree that not all 18 year olds are mature enough to carry a weapon.

Why pay teachers more when our kids can’t perform at level now. They should receive pay based on results.

Lobbying should be outlawed, the right to bear arms should be protected, parents must parent THEIR children how they see fit and teachers who can’t teach need to find another line of work!
And PS- support Tennessee Conservative! No one else will tell you the truth you need to hear!

One of the reasons our education system has failed is because public schools have not had to compete for funding; without competition, no entity or person is compelled to exceed in their performance.
While teacher’s unions and tenure are contributors to our school systems’ failures, the most expedient means by which schools can be compelled to improve is to cut off their money supply if they fail to do so.
Today, US schools are allocated more money per student than any other industrialized nation on Earth, yet US schools rank at a dismal 19th in terms of student performance in mathematics, science, and reading. I find this to be totally unacceptable, but here’s what’s worse:
Among all the States, Tennessee schools rank 41st! The people of Tennessee are being swindled by our public education system!
Unfortunately, fewer than 1 out of 100 people will take the time to scream at their lazy, grifting representatives to demand improvement.
