Yesterday, a sizable group of patriotic Tennesseans gathered on the steps of the Capitol in Nashville in support of the calling of a Special Session of the Tennessee General Assembly to address mandates, executive orders and the dangerous edicts coming from the Federal Government.
At the rally, Senator Janice Bowling (R-Tullahoma) said in her speech that 13 Senators have signed on in support of the Special Session at that time.
“That snowball is rolling… I’m not aware of all the 13. I do know that Paul Rose wrote his own letter, that Dawn White wrote her own letter, that Mike Bell wrote his own letter and that Kerry Roberts wrote his own letter” Bowling said.
Bowling stated that the names were rolling in right before the rally but she didn’t have time to verify all 13 Senators before her speech. The Tennessee Conservative has reached out to Bowling for this information.

If two-thirds of the members of the Senate and the House support it, the legislature can call the Special Session without the consent of Governor Lee and/or Lt. Gov. Randy McNally.
Governor Lee refused the call for a Special Session in August and Lt. Gov. Randy McNally “does not see an urgent need for a special session.”
There are 33 members of the Senate, meaning 22 would need to support a special session. 100% of all Republican members of the House have voiced their support, so now 9 more Senators must commit in order to call the Special Session.
Bowling expressed her thanks to House Speaker Cameron Sexton for calling for the Special Session back in August and encouraged rally-goers to express their thanks as well.
With the efforts of Senator Janice Bowling and concerned Tennessee citizens, the number of Tennessee Senators coming out in support is growing and at the time of publication, we were able to confirm the following Republican Senators have committed themselves to support the Special Session:
Mark Pody (Lebanon), Joey Hensley (Hohenwald) and Frank Niceley (Strawberry Plains) all signed Bowling’s letter.
Mike Bell (Riceville), Kerry Roberts (Springfield), Dawn White (Murfreesboro), and Rusty Crowe (Johnson City) have shown their support by penning their own letters. See their letters in our previous article.
Senator Bowling told the Tennessee Conservative that Senator Paul Bailey (R-Sparta) has also signed on in support.
Senator Paul Rose (Tipton and part of Shelby county) has also penned a letter to Lt. Gov. McNally according to Tennessee Lookout.
Senator Jack Johnson sent The Tennessee Conservative a quote – “I support a special session to address mask and vaccine mandates” – and we are awaiting confirmation as to whether he has signed anything official that ties him to the statement and/or whether he has penned his own letter to McNally.
At the rally, Bowling was supported by Senator Joey Hensley and House Members Terri-Lynn Weaver, Scott Cepicky, Bruce Griffey, Todd Warner and John Ragan.
During the event, Bowling said “To have our liberty is not a spectator sport anymore.”
House Representatives Terri-Lynn Weaver, Bruce Griffey and Joey Hensley also made speeches.
“We need a special session to prevent some of these mask mandates,” Hensley said.
As this is a ongoing story, The Tennessee Conservative will keep you updated as we acquire new information.

After this call to action is over , we will have no doubt who the RINO trash are in Tennessee’s Government . They will be the ones who won’t sign on to have a special called session to adopt measures to defend Tennesseans’ from Federal Overreach and Unconstitutional Aggression . Once we know those that don’t support a special called meeting then we know who the RINO Traitors are . The next step will be to throw everyone of them out of office as soon as possible. They must be held accountable for not doing what they were sworn to do, Their inaction is totally unacceptable. This is called ” Draining the Swamp ” as President Trump put it and the doing away with the Sewer Rats that infest the Swamp . Let’s get on with what we have to do to resist tyranny and throw out those that stab us in the back !!!
I totally agree. Lets stand together and push back against these unlawful mandates. Time to vote these traitors out and vote in some Patriots that care about our rights.
I agree with Mr. Edens. We must hold them accountable for their inaction, Remember lip service does nothing, actions speak louder than words. They seem to forget, they work for us. We don’t work for them. This biden administration has run thoroughly ignored the Constitution. The Legislators of congress are the ones who create laws not the POTUS. The occupant of the White House is dictating that we all take the jab and wear masks. This is still America but it won’t be for long if we don’t stand up for our GOD given rights. Write or call your Tennessee state senators and demand they call for a special session. In GOD we trust not man or government.
