Washington D.C. – Senator Marsha Blackburn (TN) joined U.S. Senators Ted Cruz (TX), Susan Collins (ME), Jerry Moran (KS), Roger Wicker (MS), and Cynthia Lummis (WY) in introducing a resolution calling on the Biden Administration’s Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to end its mask mandate for fully vaccinated individuals on public transportation throughout the United States—including at airports, commercial airplanes, buses, and rail systems.

Senator Blackburn said, “Joe Biden has lectured Americans to ‘follow the science.’ It’s clear that this rhetoric was just another way for the radical left and big government to control Americans. Experts have been clear for months — if you are vaccinated you do not need to wear a mask. It’s time we end these absurd political charades and start following the science.”

“Over 150 million people in the United States are fully vaccinated and mask mandates have been lifted across the country. But the CDC inexplicably still hasn’t lifted the mask mandate for public transportation,” Senator Cruz said, “It’s long past time for President Biden and the CDC to follow the science and end this mask mandate for fully vaccinated individuals. Americans should be able to travel to celebrate Independence Day with their friends and loved ones without having to follow an outdated and unnecessary mandate.”

Senator Collins recounted a conversation she had with two flight attendants regarding the mask mandate for air travel.

“Given the horrendous and unthinkable violence that has occurred on flights, one of them was frightened by what would happen if she tried to enforce the mandate. The CDC recently released recommendations significantly curtailing mask requirements both in indoor and outdoor settings.  It makes no sense that someone can go to a restaurant without wearing a mask, but they cannot fly on an airplane without one even though it has a far better ventilation system,” Collins said.

Senator Moran stated that the CDC and TSA should update their guidance to reflect their own findings to help U.S. citizens return to a normal state of travel.

“Vaccination rates in the U.S. have helped end this pandemic and return our lives to normal. Requiring vaccinated passengers on trains and airplanes to continue wearing masks doesn’t follow the science,” Moran said.

Senator Lummis said, “Outside of the beltway, the country is going back to normal. Wyoming and most other states lifted their mask mandate months ago. Vaccination rates are increasing and COVID cases are decreasing. The only place most Americans are wearing masks now is in airports and on airplanes. Secretary Buttigieg even said that the mandate is not actually about the science, but instead about ‘respect.’ If there’s no science backing it up, it’s time for the mandate to go.”

Again elected representatives who aren’t following the science. Also not doing due diligence on the lack of efficacy of the ‘faux’ vaccine, the known dangers and now the warning by the designer of the mrna that the vaccinations should stop. Notwithstanding we know the masks don’t work and neither does the jab.

Lifting the mandate for vaccinated individuals means that vax cards will be required for exemption. Doesn’t anyone else see the privacy issue here? It’s not my business if anyone else gets vaccinated, nor theirs if I did. It’s personal and private. The vaccine protects the one who was vaccinated, and that not perfectly well.

Freedom is based on the US Constitution, not in whether or not someone has been vaxed!
I want FREEDOM from the face diaper/mask/symbol of servitude when I am traveling by air!
Not in the airport! Not in the airplane!
It is well past time for the Senate to demand that Americans return to FREEDOM of choice – choice to get jabbed or not, choice to wear a mask or not!

The mask mandates should be completely abolished, regardless of whether or not someone has gotten the vaccine!

And quite frankly, If I’m going to fly on an airplane or take a train or bus somewhere…NO ONE has the legal right to question me on whatever medical procedures I may, or may not, have had! Period!
