TN GOP: “Dragging” Us Into “Depravity”

The latest Nashville legislative session was no “Profile in Courage”. The self-proclaimed freedom first TN GOP’s super majority continues to be outwitted by the left’s depraved lateral thinking!

During WWII, the “Greatest Generation” saw to it that every soldier received a small book to be carried in their uniform jacket pocket entitled “Strength for Service to God and Country. It was a daily devotional of prayers soldiers could offer up to the Lord as they faced down Satan’s surrogates, the Nazis! Praise God, the book was published right here in Nashville. Many of these books ended up on the beaches of Normandy and all across Europe still in the pockets of our treasure, the American G.I.

Contrast the gallantry and courage of those great God-fearing Americans to what we just witnessed in Nashville; the seat of TN government controlled by a Republican supermajority.

At the close of this last session, TN now stands with liberal blue states allowing the foreign purchase of TN property, to include adversaries like China. We are also in conformity with the left, allowing our state treasurer to invest state funds into the left’s agenda of diversity, equity, inclusion (DEI), and environmental, social, governance (ESG).

Let’s juxtapose the aforedescribed actions of the WWII generation on the Normandy beaches with today’s recreants in Nashville.

A bill to ban drag shows for “kids” died in the TN Senate. The thrust of the bill would have made it illegal for minors to be at these shows and would have required the “dragsters” to obtain an entertainment permit restricting attendance to 18 and above. The bill went to the Senate and Local Government Committee, where the “Republicans” fell silent when the motion came up for seconding, killing the bill passed by the TN House. Their responses to why they remained silent puts on display why a TN GOP supermajority keeps moving TN left.

Several senators stated that to vote for the bill would be the same as legitimizing “drag” as a trade, like a plumber, or electrician. What baloney! It leaves me wondering if they extend this logic to porn “artists” too? In the end, we end up with no restrictions and a jubilant cadre of depraved leftist corrupting our kids.

The TN GOP needs to watch, listen, and learn from their democrat adversaries who regularly out maneuver them. I suggest they should view the “dragsters” as providing a “product” then restrict the product not the person.

We’ve done this with smoking and alcohol where everyone is required to show ID as an age enforcement technique. It’s time to tighten our Bible belts before we are all party to and guilty of this indecent exposure! This is how prayer and the pledge was incrementally taken out of many schools.

Our WWII GIs were praying daily devotionals throughout the world asking for God’s intervention; He answered their prayers. All of us need to keep our Bible close at hand, read it and pray. There is no reason Our Lord won’t answer our prayers as He did the GIs, He just needs to be asked!

As for the “drag bill” remember that that was the day after the Lt. Predator, Sen McNally conducted his straw poll with the caucus members on who wanted him to step down after his online lovefest with a young homosexual. Disgracefully only 7 Senators thought he should step down. The rest protected a perverted old man.

Yep, “R” stands for rino as it seems they want to give off the illusion of being conservative but in reality they are bought and paid for by globalist and do as they are told. It’s sad to see a conservative populace deceived and manipulated and sold out to such an evil satanic socialist agenda and regime. For the most part, the only true Patriots/Conservatives in Tennessee are found in We the People.

TN will effectively be a purple state within a decade. It can be entirely blamed on the apathy and ‘live and let live’ attitude of the Republican voter who thinks some individual is going to magically save us all from the vices of the left. We on the right greatly outnumber those on the the left, but if we can’t even get off our duffs to go vote for actual conservative candidates in ALL PRIMARY ELECTIONS and rid ourselves of all the RINO candidates in Nashville and in local government, then we deserve the despicable candidates we get. If we don’t like the direction this incredible state is headed, but we feel the need to point the finger of blame somewhere or at someone, I suggest we all go have a good hard look in the mirror. There we will find reasons for our grievances.

Suggestions on what needs to be done?

Obviously voting isn’t the answer. They SAY they will do/vote a certain way but when they get elected they turn around and do otherwise.

That’s been the WAY of politicians for YEARS.

It is time we realize the the GOP in TN does not represent the conservatives that voted for them. We must find a way to send them a message. I will actively work against them and if I must leave their name blank on the next ballot so be it

I’ve heard many of our elected representatives say that they had to vote against the wishes of the majority of their constituency. “I HAD TO VOTE MY CONCIENCE” is a phrase they like to use. They should be reminded in no uncertain terms that they are elected by us to represent us, and vote for the wishes of the majority of their constituency. If they don’t, they are not our representatives, and should not be re-elected. Email your representatives and let them know how you feel today.

Note it is a block in the Senate. Local voters need to stand up and kick them OUT. That said, we have one and the problem is he brings in the “pork.” The local populace has no idea to the rest, and does not care… pathetic.
