Our Freedom’s Under Attack; We Cannot Go Back

As the fear from the pandemic wains, and families prepare to send students back to school, the CDC reverses course yet again, and has determined that even the vaccinated should return to wearing masks. Is this truly based in science? 

On Tuesday, the CDC completely reversed course and recommended that even the vaccinated should wear masks, in certain settings. With this recommendation also came the urging of all students K-12 wear masks during school, regardless of vaccination status. If the vaccines work, why the masks? If they don’t work, why is no one telling us? 

It appears President Biden has abdicated his responsibility and decision-making responsibilities once again. First Vice President Kamala Harris with the southern border crisis, and now looming heavy-handed Covid restrictions dictated by the ever-changing CDC. 

As the mainstream media seeds hysteria regarding the delta variant and “Trust the Science,” dogma is constantly shoved down our throats, let’s look at the data as to the current state of our country, comprised of approximately 330 million people and the Chinese Coronavirus.

According to CDC (data from 2019) everyday in the United States, 1,800 people die of heart disease, 1,640 of cancer, 470 by accident, 430 by chronic lower respiratory disease, 410 of stroke and 330 of Alzheimer’s. The seven-day rolling average of deaths from Covid19 (as of June July 20, 2021) is 324.

Why doesn’t the mainstream media have all the above-mentioned death counts plastered in the right-hand corner of every screen, but rather the Covid case counts? To be clear, a case is not the same as an infection. The left has hijacked the language to mislead the public once again into thinking that a case designates a symptomatic sick individual. So, what is truly going on here?

If we look back in history, whether it be Mao’s China, Stalin’s Soviet Union, Maduro’s Venezuela, or even more relevant today, Castro’s Cuba, the path to totalitarian control starts with something small and seemingly reasonable. However, it is also always accompanied by a promise of peace and safety, in exchange for one’s liberty and God given rights. 

In the United States, including Tennessee, we have gone from “14 days to slow the spread” to not overrun our hospitals, to the government determining which businesses can be open, closing schools and forced masking of our children. Again, the data has shown with a 99.9975% survival rate, this was never the emergency the government, technocrats, and some in the medical community (mainly the pharmaceutical company partners) made it out to be. However, it has led us as a nation looking over the cliff of the economic precipice regarding the national debt while at the same time, exponentially increasing the power of our federal government. 

George Orwell wrote in his iconic novel 1984, which reads like a playbook for the progressive left, “the daily constant never ending contradictions are not the result of incompetent leaders, but intentional psychological warfare intent on breaking the will and spirit.”

2020 and now well into 2021, have been the years of contradictions. The FDA, CDC, and others devastatingly stated that there were no therapeutic options for this pathogen and that there were no early drug treatments that could have saved lives. It was also devastating, and the first time ever in history of which the “asymptomatic” and the healthy were quarantined and tested for the virus to inflate the numbers which lead to forced lockdowns and mask mandates that have proven to not stop transmission or death, but rather have cause immeasurable damage to millions across this nation. 

Of course, who is to take the Biden Administration, CDC or others seriously regarding these new pronouncements and looming encroachment of our god given rights with 200,000 illegal migrants streaming over the border every month? If this was truly about health and safety, the border would be closed, dissenters on social media would not be silenced and those in power would be working hard to educate individuals on better nutrition and exercise to prevent infection. 

The Science has changed an incalculable number of times. The reintroduction of the masks is not just a simple inconvenience, sought to provide safety for your fellow man. If 2020 has proven anything, once you give an inch to the all-powerful bureaucracy, they take a mile. The government, under the Biden Administration is attempting to create a perpetual pandemic state. This is a test of the American people. Nothing more, nothing less. If we sit back and allow these authoritarian encroachments of our freedoms and rights to occur again, they will never relinquish power back to the people.

If you are waiting for the Republican Party, Governor Bill Lee, or any other political figure to come in to save Tennesseans from this continued government overreach, you will be sorely disappointed. It is We the People, who need to step up and save ourselves. Do not let them mask our children. Do not let them shut down businesses, enforce mask or vaccine mandates for public or private enterprise. In masse we must stand up and say, we can’t and won’t go back.
